On Wednesday 13th September the Friends will be visiting Buscot Park for a 40 minutes guided tour of the house, including the Pre-Raphelite room with Edward Burne-Jones famous Briar Rose series of paintings. Lunch in nearby Faringdon will provide an opportunity to see the extraordinary Portwell Bench and learn about it association with Salvador Dali. The outing will end with a brief visit to the much loved, and much visited by William Morris, Great Coxwell Barn dating from the 13th century. Tickets £25 – lunch at own cost.
